Funeral services for Patricia “Patti” Ann (Eaves) Newton, 68 years of age, a Sherman, Texas resident, formerly of Atoka, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel, in Sherman, Texas.
Interment was in the Old Celina Cemetery, at Celina, Texas.
Services were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home, in Sherman, Texas.
Newton was called home to be with her sovereign Creator and Father on November 18, 2020.
She was born on August 2, 1952, to her loving parents, Ray and Christine Eaves, at Sanger, California.
The family moved to Atoka, shortly after, where she was raised and would eventually meet an airman in the United States Air Force, Don Newton.
She married Don Newton, on March 20, 1971, at Sherman, Texas. They raised three boys: Shawn, Jeremy and Joshua.
Newton was a continuation of a great legacy begun by Ray and Christine Eaves, in the walk of humble servanthood. Anyone who knew her, knew her faith in Christ to be genuine and never doubted her commitment to serve and love others. She was the most sacrificial and loving mother and wife. Newton continually encouraged others even in her times of personal suffering and always pointed them to Christ, who is our only Hope in life and death.
Survivors include her loving husband, Don; her sisters, Jan and Rosa; her brothers, Ray, David, and Larry and her sons, Shawn, Jeremy and Joshua Newton.
The family received friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, November 23, 2020, at Waldo Funeral Home, in Sherman, Texas.
