Funeral services for Janie Sue (Johnson) Reed, age 75 years, 10 months and 18 days, an Atoka resident, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 24, 2020, at the Atoka Funeral Home Chapel, in Atoka, with the Reverend Seth Swindall and the Reverend Kevin Angel officiating.
Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, at Wapanucka.
Services were under the direction of Atoka Funeral Home, in Atoka.
Reed passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020, in Midland, Texas.
She was born on January 31, 1945, to Oliver and Maudie Lee (Taylor) Johnson, at Atoka.
Reed was a hairdresser for 52 years and owned her own shop.
She married Gene Glaholt. He preceded in her in death January 29, 2007.
Survivors include her son, Bobby Don Reed of Lane; daughter, Tarina Cockerham and husband, Mark, of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Bradley Reed of Atoka; Rodney Doyle and wife, Amanda, of Kiowa; Bridgette Herring and husband, Dalton, of Tushka; Gary Cockerham of Midland, Texas; Daisy Reed and Claudia Reed, both of Lake Tawakoni, Texas; Wade Cockerham of Midland, Texas; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Mamie Maxey of Atoka; also several nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
Preceding her in death were her mother, Maudie White; father, Oliver Johnson; stepfather, John White; first husband, Wayland Reed; second husband, Gene Glaholt; brothers, Luther Johnson, Leonard (T-Bone) Johnson and C. J. Johnson; sisters, Cleo Booze, Lena Bilke, Anna Ruth Payne and Loretta Truett.
Pallbearers were Bradley Reed, Rodney Doyle, Gary Cockerham, Wade Cockerham, Rusty Johnson, Doug Johnson and Ricky Floyd.
Family night was held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Atoka Funeral Home, in Atoka.
