The family will have a private memorial service at a later time for Nettie Dean (Kirtley) Adams, age 85 years, 5 months and 12 days, a Harrah resident.
Services will be under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Coalgate.
Adams passed away on December 7, 2020, at her home, in Harrah, surrounded by family.
She was born on June 25, 1935, to Arthur Debs and Louise (Hamlett) Kirtley, at Lebanon.
Adams attended schools in Oklahoma.
She married Robert “Bob” Bert Adams, on December 29, 1984, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. They resided in Coalgate. He preceded her in death on November 30, 2013.
Adams was a housewife and seamstress with her sister, Mattie for many years.
She was a loved and respected wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Adams was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, in 1957 and served as a full-time pioneer for several years. She resided in Harrah with her daughter, Barbara and son-in-law, Kevin. Adams helped care for her parents. She loved gardening, sewing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sister, Mattie Hampton and husband, Eddie; daughters, Connie Merritt and husband, Edward, of Coalgate; Gail Ledford and husband, Jess, of the Dominican Republic; Barbara Baugh & husband, Kevin, of Harrah; Hazel Perryman of California; sons, Mike Bias and wife, Laura, of Bartow, Florida; Danny Bias and wife, Margarette, of Hugo; Jesse Bias and wife, Lorie, of Montgomery, Texas; Tim and wife, Reanna, of Auburndale, Florida; stepchildren, Jack Adams and wife, Beverly; Scott Adams and wife, Renee; David Adams; Robert Adams; Thomas Adams; Helen Stevenson and husband, Robert; Michael Adams and wife, Arlene; Rebecca Kite and husband, Jay; sisters-in-law, Fay Kirtley and Florene Turney, both of California; 42 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Arthur Debs & Louise (Hamlett) Kirtley; husband, Robert “Bob” Bert Adams; and son, Robert Dale Bias; father of the children, Leonard Bias; brother, Donald Kirtley and sister, Birdie Lee Kirtley.
