At the request of Benny Richard Bryant, age 82, an Atoka resident, no family viewing or funeral services will be held.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
Bryant passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at the VA Medical Center, in Muskogee.
He was born September 18, 1938, to Harry Lee and Clettie Irene (Hubbell) Bryant, in Stringtown, at home.
Bryant served his country in the United States Air Force.
He was a roofer, worked on a dairy farm, and at the Savannah Army Ammunition Depot.
Bryant loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include one daughter, Neva; three sons, Justin, Jason and Michael; former wife and best friend, Joann Bryant Elliott, and mother of their daughter, Shelly Jo Bryant; one sister, Betty Lee Roark; one step-daughter, Marlene Hopper; two grandchildren, Ashley and Vincent; three great-granddaughters, lots of nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Harry and Clettie Bryant; four brothers, Andrew Robert (A.R.), Harry Loyd, Frank Ray and Walter Edward Bryant; one sister, Susie Jean Roark; grandmother, Nora Nix; two daughters, Clara and Shelly Jo Bryant; one son, Michael; and one grandson, Quinton Bryant.
