Interment was in Riley Cemetery.
Services were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Coalgate.
Chastain was swept away into her Savior’s arms on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at McAlester.
She was born on June 30, 1976, to Larry Duane and Loretta Rose (Martin) Luman, at McAlester. Chastain was the first of four children. She was a bright falling star, beautiful and too quickly gone.
Chastain attended and graduated from Atoka High School, in 1995.
She married Larry Michael Chastain, on April 20, 1998, at the Day Spring Church, in Atoka. They spent 22 wonderful years together.
Chastain was a housewife.
She was a sister, mother, noni, wife and beloved daughter. Chastain loved being a Noni, taking care of animals and was an avid reader. Her heart was one of the strongest forces in the world. She never met a stray that didn’t find a home, even if only temporarily; cats, dogs, opossums and people. Many of those closest to her were strays when they came through the door and family before they left. Chastain was shy about seeking friendships, but those that found her, found her fiercely loyal and true.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Michael Chastain of McAlester; daughters, Haili Michelle Luman and P. J. Cottrell, of Atoka; Autumn Rose Chastain of McAlester; son, Cameron Chastain of McAlester; parents, Larry Duane and Loretta Rose (Martin) Luman, of Atoka; grandchildren, Ella Rose Scott of Williams, Arizona; Jasper Creed Cottrell and Lincoln Ryatt Cottrell, both of Atoka; sister, Heather Rohatgi and husband, Roger, of Richmond, Texas; nephews, Jordan Ryver Rohatgi and Skyler Reign Rohatgi; brother, Jeremiah Luman and wife, Jissica, of Stringtown; nephew, Jett Luman; brother, Jason Luman of Atoka; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
