Funeral services for Charles Snow, age 71, an Atoka resident, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel, in Atoka, with Brother Larry Luman officiating.
Interment was in Boggy Depot Cemetery, at Boggy Depot.
Services were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
Snow passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Oklahoma City.
He was born on Tuesday, May 17, 1949, to Eugene Ernest and Elsie Mae (Elliott) Snow, in Atoka County and was raised at Boggy Depot, but later moved to Arizona for several years before moving back to Atoka, where he spent the last 17 years.
Snow graduated from Tushka High School.
He married Madlin (Deschamps) on Saturday, May 26, 1990, at Chandler, Arizona. They celebrated 30 wonderful years of marriage.
Snow worked for Hale Halsel Grocery Company, in delivery and warehouse, for 17 years. He later worked in security for schools in Arizona.
He was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church, in Atoka. Snow was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge in Atoka and Arizona. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, going to church and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Madlin Snow of the home, in Atoka; children, Heather Miranda Wesley and husband, Tim, of Kemp; Dusty Snow of Tushka; Alisa Wood of Denver, Colorado; Michael Wood of Big Lake, Alaska; grandchildren, Brooklyn Snow, Dylan O’Brian, Violet Wood and Ian Wood; sisters, Kaye Hauff and husband, John, of Atoka; Rhonda Courtney and husband, Dennis, of Atoka; brothers, Ronnie Hill and friend, Jana, of Boggy Depot; Eddie Hill and wife, Lisa, of Boggy Depot; aunts, Regena Smith and Betty Jo Nuttall, both of Texas; Roberta Wilson of Crystal; and Barbara Elliott of Tushka; in-laws, Daniel Deschamps and Jane Hicks, both of Los Angeles, California; and Gwen Serrano of Arizona.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Eugene Ernest and Elsie Mae (Elliott) Snow; stepfather, Keith Hill; grandchildren, Shelbie and Constance Wesley.
Pallbearers were Eddie Hill, Ronnie Hill, John Hauff, Dennis Courtney, Eddie Rainey, Howard Ford and Tim Wesley.
Family night was held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
