Funeral services for Earl Wayne Sinks, age 63, a long time Glen Rose, Texas resident, but was an Atoka resident for the last 7 years, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at the Apostolic Truth Tabernacle, in Atoka, with the Reverend Dewan Ashley, the Reverend Larry Lynch and the Reverend Bill Daniels officiating.
Interment was in Squaw Creek Cemetery, at Glen Rose, Texas.
Services were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
Sinks passed away on January 1, 2021, at Denison, Texas.
He was born on March 31, 1957, to Ruben Jr. and Dorothy May (Wilkins) Sinks, at Amarillo, Texas.
Sinks attended McWhorter Elementary School and Mesquite Agnew Jr. High School.
He was a mechanic for an auto radiator shop.
Sinks was a member of the Apostolic Truth Tabernacle, in Atoka. He loved to play games, Yahtzee being his favorite. Sinks also enjoyed collecting indian artifacts and eagles.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy May (Wilkins) Sinks of Atoka; sons, Earl Jr. Sinks and wife, Christina, of Cleburne, Texas; Roy Lee Sinks and wife, Ashley, of Cleburne, Texas; grandchildren, Addison Grace Sinks, Ruben Wayne Sinks and Conner Charles Sinks; stepdaughter, Sarah Morgan; step-grandchildren, Justin, Rose, Donald and Jamie; sister, Jan Daniels and husband, Reverend Bill, of Atoka; brother, Roger Sinks and wife, Kathy, of Elkhart, Texas; 14 nieces and nephews; along with other relatives and many dear friends.
Preceding him in death were his father, Ruben Jr. Sinks; brothers, Roy Lee Sinks and Charles Edward Sinks; and a sister, Reba Joyce Jackson.
Pallbearers were Jav Ortiz, Xander Ortiz, the Reverend Rick Brown, Matt Brown, Roy Dale Sinks and Dalton Webb.
Family night was held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, January 4, 2021, at Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
