Funeral services for Elvis Allen Jones, age 79, a Lane resident, were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at the Bill Coben Community Center, in Lane, with Brother Raymond Humphrey officiating.
Services were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
Jones passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Lane.
He was born on Monday, March 17, 1941, to Elvis and Azzelee (Luck) Jones, at Tushka.
Jones graduated from Tushka Public School and attended college.
He married Sherlean Jones, in 1976, at Tushka. They celebrated 44 years of marriage before his passing.
Jones was the owner of Midas Muffler Shop.
He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp.
Jones was a member of the Tushka Baptist Church. He loved fishing with his buddies and sitting by a fire. Jones loved his family; especially his nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved life most of all.
Survivors include his wife, Sherlean Jones of the home, in Lane; children, Deanne Beeman of Parker Heights, Texas; Kevin White and wife, Pam, of Bryan, Texas; grandchildren, Fallon Locke, Amber Locke, Regina Boyd, Will Locke, Kristian Locke, Kori White and Kevin White, Jr.; siblings, June Caster of Bullard, Texas; Fulton Phillips and wife, Sherry, of Weston, Texas; Grover Phillips and wife, Phyllis, of Atoka; along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Elvis and Azzelee (Luck) Jones; son, Richard Allen Jones; and sister, Louise Burrough.
