Funeral services for James Delbert Holder, age 74 years, 9 months and 28 days, a Coalgate resident, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel, in Coalgate, with Pastor Lyle Shipley officiating.
Interment will be in Pine Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Coalgate.
Holder passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Oklahoma City.
He was born on March 5, 1946, to Joseph Delbert and Erma Leona (Sells) Holder, in Atoka County.
Holder graduated Coalgate High School, in 1964.
He was a cattle rancher and a retired county worker from Coal County District 1.
Holder enjoyed his cattle, fishing, deer hunting and spending time with his dogs.
Survivors include his daughters, Brenda Trevathan of Coalgate; Melinda Guinn and husband, Bryan Bradshaw, of Coalgate; Charity Dawn Johnson and husband, Chris, of Muskogee; son, James Holder, Jr. and wife, Ronnea, of Coalgate; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Nelson and husband, Mike, of Coalgate; special niece, Hailey Nelson of Coalgate; special friend, Patti Rogers of Oklahoma City; best friend, Gene Rogers of Seminole.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph Delbert & Erma Leona (Sells) Holder.
Pallbearers are Alvin Pebworth, Dan Pebworth, Steve Cody, Bob Cody, Bob Strunk, Johnnie Belletini and Gary Coffee.
Family night will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Brown’s Funeral Service, in Coalgate.
