Funeral services for Mary Lee (Smith) Barrett, age 71 years, 3 months and 24 days, a Coalgate resident, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at the Atoka Funeral Home Chapel, in Atoka, with Pastor R. J. Nanney officiating.
Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery, at Atoka.
Services are under the direction of Atoka Funeral Home, in Atoka.
Barrett passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021, in Tulsa.
She was born on September 8, 1949, to Orvis Vance and Kate Marie (Ham) Smith, at Dallas, Texas.
Barrett worked as a receptionist for SMCO Manufacturing Company.
She married James Barrett, on March 7, 1981, at Dallas, Texas.
Survivors include her husband, James (Jimmy) Barrett of the home, in Coalgate; brother, Vance Smith and wife, Kitty, of Buffalo, Texas; sisters-in-law, Linda Smith of Mesquite, Texas and E. Janyce Scroggins of Atoka; father-in-law, Homer L. Barrett of Atoka; brothers-in-law, Lee Barrett and wife, Pam, of Ardmore; Leon Barrett and wife, Beth, of Holdenville; special cat/child, Promised Cat (PC) of Atoka; a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, also special church friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Orvis Vance and Kate Marie (Ham) Smith; brother, Bill Smith; and mother-in-law, Ellen Barrett.
Pallbearers are Lee Barrett, Leon Barrett, Anthony Barrett, Brian Barrett, Bradley Barrett and Jason Barrett.
Honorary pallbearers are the deacons of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and members of the Ruth Sunday Class of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
