Funeral services for Patsy Lois (King) Manning, age 69 years, a longtime Caney resident, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 8, 2021, at Voca Baptist Church, in Caney, with Brother Sammy Vaughn and Brother Randy Tadlock officiating.
Interment was in Perkins Cemetery, at Caney.
Services were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
Manning passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, in Plano, Texas.
She was born on Sunday, November 4, 1951, to Edward and Wynema (Riley) King, at Kinta.
Manning graduated from Caney High School.
She married her high school sweetheart, David Lee Manning, on Saturday, April 26, 1969, at Caney. They celebrated 45 wonderful years of marriage before David’s passing.
She worked in retail for many years and was a wonderful homemaker for her children.
Manning was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, traveling with her husband and she loved to cook.
Survivors include her daughter, Wendy (Manning) Coats of Caney; sons, Bryan Manning and wife Samantha of Durant; Michael Manning and wife Tracy of Caney; and Larry Manning of Caney; grandchildren, Hunter Manning; Tyler Manning; Blayne Coats; Bryson Manning; Skylar Manning; Vance Owens; and great-grandchild, Finley Hill; siblings, Charlie King of Caney; Carl King of Caney; Donna Walton and husband Bim of Tushka; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Edward and Wynema (Riley) King; and husband, David Lee Manning.
Pallbearers were Roy Hopkins, Trey Harbin, David Vaughn, Cody Nutter, Joe Turner, and Hank Lawson.
Honorary pallbearers were Darrin Duckworth and Richard Green.
Family night was held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
