Funeral services for Ronnie Williamson, age 69 years, 5 months and 15 days, a longtime Atoka, resident, who lived in Edmond from 1977 until 1998, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel, in Atoka, with Brother Joey Lansdale officiating.
Interment was in Redden Cemetery, at Redden.
Services were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
Williamson passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021, at Oklahoma City.
He was born on Friday, July 27, 1951, to Charles and Thelma (Wilson) Williamson, at Daisy.
Williamson attended Lane and Atoka Public Schools and graduated from Geary High School, he had perfect attendance at all of his schools. He got his Associate of Science in Fire Protection, in May of 1981 from Oklahoma State University and received his Bachelor of Science from Central State University, in July of 1987.
He married Gaylene Holcomb, in Atoka and later married Candice Lemke on November 1, 1974, in Bowdle, South Dakota.
Williamson proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
He worked at Rapid City Fire Department from 1975-77, Edmond Fire Department from 1977 to 1998, where he retired after 21 years. He sold cars for many years for Chevy Crossroads and then several years for Stuteville Ford in Atoka.
Williamson was raised in the Church of Christ. He belonged to the Kiwanis Club, in Edmond for several years, International Arson Investigators Association and International Fire Service Training Association and Atoka Trail Riders. Williamson loved his golf and playing in his band, Ronnie and The Flashbacks.
Survivors include his children, Shelly Daniel and husband, Mike, of Atoka; Jennifer White and husband, Jonathan, of Edmond; Anthony “Tony” Williamson and wife, Kayla, of Mandan, North Dakota; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Shelton and husband, Ken, of Brandon, Missouri; brothers, Deryl Williamson and wife, Carolyn, of Geary; Gary Williamson of Oklahoma City; companion, Susan Sheffield Moon of Atoka; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles and Thelma (Wilson) Williamson; sisters, Phyllis Lawson and Linda Hill; and brother, Tony Williamson.
Pallbearers were Doug Ishmael, John Lafavors, Kelsey Edwards, John Cook, John Ritchie, Moochie Perkins, Hugh Graham and Eric Stuteville.
Honorary pallbearer was Larry Capps.
Family night was held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, January 11, 2021, at Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
