Memorial services for Jerald Edward Capshaw, age 74 years, 5 months and 25 days, an Atoka resident, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at the Atoka Funeral Chapel, in Atoka, with the Reverend Herb Wharton officiating.
The family requests that everyone attending the service to be in casual wear or camouflage.
Services are under the direction of Atoka Funeral Home, in Atoka.
Capshaw passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021, in Oklahoma City.
He was born on August 12, 1946, to Edward James and Ruth Lee (Fite) Capshaw, at Denuba, California.
Capshaw served in the United States Army.
He married Diania Gail (Whitney), on January 6, 1968, at Groton, Massachusetts.
Capshaw was a prison guard for Mack Alford Correctional Center.
Survivors include his wife, Diania Gail Capshaw of the home, in Atoka; three sons, Jerald Edward Capshaw and wife, Gail, of Fort Worth, Texas; Edward Jaw Capshaw and wife, Sarah, of Gardner, Massachusetts; Brant Edmund Capshaw of the home, in Atoka; daughter, Branda Gail Capshaw of Durant; three grandchildren, Lindsay Albright of Fort Worth, Texas; Ellis Capshaw and Maxwell Capshaw, both of Gardner, Massachusetts; brother, Phillip Capshaw of Tushka; also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Edward James and Ruth Lee Capshaw; and a sister, Dana Ruth Discketts.
