Funeral services for Lou Ann (Winters) Lowe, age 91 years, 1 month and 15 days, a Durant resident, formerly a longtime Atoka resident, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at the Atoka Funeral Home Chapel, in Atoka, with Pastor Jason Anderson officiating.
Interment was in Green Meadows Cemetery, at Atoka.
Services were under the direction of Atoka Funeral Home, in Atoka.
Lowe passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021, in Durant.
She was born on January 7, 1930, to Irving Elbert and Vay Volna (Kamppla) Winters, at Stringtown.
Lowe was a homemaker.
She married Norval Rucel Lowe, on February 13, 1947, at Sherman, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 15, 2014.
Survivors include her children, Mickey Lowe of Coalgate; Ginny Wood and husband, Carroll, of Sherman, Texas; Susan Ferguson and husband, Al, of Pampa, Texas; Carol Cauthern and husband, Terry, of Dumas, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon Lowe of Russellville, Arkansas; Micah Lowe and wife, Kaitlyn, of Hollis; Tanner Lowe and wife, Janelle, of Magnum; Krista Williams and husband, Bryan, of Tushka; Kaeli Riding and husband, Riley, of Sentinel; Jessica Teal and husband, Brian, of Dallas, Texas; Geoff Wood and wife, Samantha, of Celina, Texas; Russ Gunter of Brazoria, Texas; Marc Covalt and wife, Kayla, of Odessa, Texas; Clint Ferguson and wife, Brandi, of Boyd, Texas; Cal Ferguson and wife, Becca, of Pampa, Texas; Tera Matak and husband, Chuck, of Sour Lake, Texas; sisters, Betty Jo Compton of California and Linda Kay Cox of Atoka; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Norval Rucel Lowe; parents, Irving Elbert and Vay Volna (Kampplain) Winters; grandson, Clint Cauthen; sisters, Sue Copeland and Bobbye Lowry; and her brothers, Bo Winters and Ronnie Dale Winters.
Pallbearers were Micah Lowe, Chuck Matak, Bryan Williams, Russ Gunter, Marc Covalt and Geoff Wood.
Honorary pallbearers were Tanner Lowe, Billy Lowe, Brian Teal and Brandon Lowe.
Family night was held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Atoka Funeral Home, in Atoka.
