I don’t know about you, but that snow on Sunday was a surprise to me. I thought we were sorta on the edge of that weather coming in. It was beautiful, the flakes were big.
We lost Billie Faye Goodson, on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, in Oklahoma City. She has been stuck at home for a long time due to breathing problems. She was living in Durant. Her services were Sunday afternoon, at Brown’s. Our sympathy to her family that are still in Atoka. She will be missed by many.
The snow caused Lane School to start late on Monday and now they are saying we have more this Tuesday.
Atoka boys and girls played Calera in basketball on Friday night, at home. They won both games and played really good throughout both games.
Lane School will get out on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. to start their Christmas break. They will be out until January 4th.
There are several cases of the virus now in Lane, I know who some of them are but we need to still wear masks and stay at home. I noticed at the ball game Friday night, on the visitors side no one had on masks but a lot did on the Atoka side.
The cases are increasing in Atoka too; so, lets be careful when out in public.
All my news for this time, see you next week the Lord willing and remember knowledge is free at the library, just bring your own container.
