Graveside services for Kay F. Reed-Mickles “Ma’am”, age 81 years, a former Atoka resident, were held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021, at Greenhill Cemetery, in Atoka.
Interment was in Greenhill Cemetery, at Atoka.
Mickles passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2021, after battling health issues, she was called home to be with the Lord.
She was born on January 29, 1940, to Hassan and Lubelle Reed, in Atoka.
Mickles graduated from Atoka High School, in 1958.
She worked at Seagate (Honeywell) for many years. Upon retiring from Seagate, she began working at Crest.
Mickles gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of the Church of Christ.
Her passions were collecting owls and angels, cooking and sharing meals, and growing and caring for house plants; and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her three children, son, Charles “Charlie” Winslett and wife, Shirley of Minnesota; daughter, Kathy “Shelly” Winslett of Oklahoma City; and son, Jeffrey “Jeff” Jackson of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Christopher, Winston, Cameron, Victoria, Chasidy, JJ and Michael; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Hassan and Lubelle Reed; two brothers and three sisters.
