Funeral services for Nita Faye (Wiggins) Anderson, age 90, a lifelong resident of the Boehler Community, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Crystal Baptist Church, in Crystal, with the Reverend Jeremy Parham officiating.
Interment will be in Crystal Cemetery, at Crystal.
Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
Anderson passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021, in the Boehler Community, two miles from where she was born.
She was born on Wednesday, August 13, 1930, to Roy “Fred” Alfred and Moulcey Belle (Donaldson) Wiggins, at Sunkist Community.
Anderson attended Carnes Grade School and graduated from Boswell High School, in 1946.
She married Elton Raymond “Pete” Anderson, on Monday, August 16, 1948, at Sherman, Texas. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before his passing on July 3, 2011.
Anderson was a wonderful housewife, homemaker and mother.
She was a longtime prayer warrior and oldest living member of Crystal Baptist Church. Anderson was always active in the church activities and condolence committee. She loved to help people in need.
Survivors include her children, Violet Lewis of Paris, Texas; Bill Anderson and wife, Becky, of Boehler; Cleta Anderson of Boehler; Carla Weinberg and husband, Butch, of Boehler; Denise Cook and husband, Glenn, of Crystal; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Norene Toulou of Spokane, Washington; brother, Trenton Wiggins and wife, Wanda, of White Bluff, Tennessee; special niece, Fay Gaskey of Canton, Texas; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Roy “Fred” Alfred and Moulcey Belle (Donaldson) Wiggins; husband, Elton Raymond “Pete” Anderson; sisters, Thelma Deaton and Flora Jean Farquhar; brother, Chester Wiggins; great-granddaughter, Mellissa NeeSmith; son-in-law, Danny Lewis.
Pallbearers are Joe Lewis, J.D. Higginbottom, Troy Cook, Tenadore Anderson, Lucas Anderson and Josh NeeSmith.
Honorary pallbearers are Steve Anderson, Elton Higginbottom, Larry Hughes, Jerry Hughes and Gilbert Wilson.
Family night will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
