OHP Nabs Iowa Man on Drug Trafficking, DUI Charges

An Iowa man was arrested on Saturday night after an Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper discovered over 13 pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop.

According to a police report, Oklahoma State Trooper Trent Mixon initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with an Iowa license plate for failing to dim its bright headlights on Highway 69 near Boggy Depot Rd. The vehicle, a black Chevrolet Cruze, pulled into a Valero gas station in Tushka.

Upon contact, Trooper Mixon observed the driver, identified as Phillip Maurice Bunney III, to be sweating profusely and acting agitated. Bunney provided an expired driver's license with trembling hands.
