Disputed Vehicle Sale Leads to Arrest for Felony Unauthorized Use

A man was arrested on Wednesday for unauthorized use of a vehicle and obtaining property by false pretense after a woman reported her truck was being driven without her permission.

The incident began when Rebecca Wallace contacted the Atoka Police Department to report that her Dodge Ram, which had been stored at her daughter’s residence in Atoka, was being driven by a male individual identified as Blake Patterson.

According to the police report from Officer Cheyenne Gilbert, Wallace's daughter, Valarie Tisdale, had allowed Patterson to take the disabled truck to his residence for repairs. Tisdale later saw Patterson driving the vehicle at the Choctaw Travel Plaza and confronted him about returning it, but he drove away.
