Stringtown News

Beth was late getting the news in last week, so... she's trying to combine 2 weeks of news. Apologies to all of you who read (and missed) the Stringtown News last week! Here are some holidays to remember!

September 11th: National Emergency Responders Day, Patriot Day (honors the memory of the nearly 3,000 innocent victims who died in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks), National Make Your Bed Day, and National Hot Cross Bun Day September 12th: National Chocolate Milkshake Day, Video Games Day, National Day of Encouragement, and National Police Woman Day September 13th: Kids Take Over the Kitchen Day, Positive Thinking Day, Bald is Beautiful Day, and National Peanut Day The Senior Adult Luncheon at Stringtown FBC happened on Tuesday, August 26th. There were a few of the regulars missing due to Dr. appointments, but there were about 20 in attendance. There was plenty of food! Beth heard that Alberta's dish of Kiolbassa sausage, potatoes, onions, and summer squash was delicious. Patsy took meatloaf and cabbage, and that was pretty much finished off! And, the Coconut Cream Pie from Debra was extremely yummy. So, if you have a chance, join the group in September! They meet in the fellowship hall at Stringtown FBC on the last Tuesday of the month. The next meeting is Tuesday, September 30th.

Saturday, August 30th was the Men's Breakfast. There were 38 men in attendance. Brad Tisdale brought the devotional about being Doers of The Word. If you missed it, try to make the next one. You'll be blessed! The next Men's Breakfast is September 13th in Caney. A bus will leave Stringtown FBC at 7:30 that morning.
