A stranded motorist was arrested for public intoxication Wednesday morning after entering the Atoka County Medical Center to ask staff and patients for money.
In the early hours of August 27th, Master Patrol Officer Peydon Griffith was dispatched to the hospital after a report of a male, later identified as Jeremy Crooms, was inside asking for money, claiming he had run out of gas.
MPO Griffith found a red SUV parked in the roadway near the hospital’s emergency room entrance. He located Crooms, who appeared to be highly intoxicated with slurred speech and glossy eyes.
