A man was arrested on Friday after he allegedly broke into a vacant home and then refused to comply with police commands, leading an officer to deploy his Taser.
On August 29, 2025, at approximately 5:12 PM, Officer Christian Shomo of the Atoka Police Department responded to a call regarding a break-in at a residence on E. 4th St. The caller, the property's owner, reported that a man was inside the residence, which was undergoing renovations.
Upon arrival, Officer Shomo found Aarron Goode, whom he recognized from previous encounters, inside the home. A neighbor told the officer that Goode had been aggressive and had threatened to “beat her down” if she called the police. The neighbor also reported that Goode had threatened to 'attack' her and 'burn her house down.'
