Officers of the Atoka FFA chapter participated in the 2025 Oklahoma FFA Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT) Conference on August 26 at LifeChurch in McAlester, Oklahoma.
At the conference, the Atoka FFA chapter was recognized as a 3 Star State Superior Chapter and also received a $2,500 STEM grant from the Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) Foundation. The grant will support the chapter's 'Who's Who of Atoka County' project for the 2025-2026 school year.
This project is part of a larger initiative by the PSO Foundation, which awarded over $12,400 in STEM grants to several FFA chapters in Southeastern Oklahoma. These grants support hands-on learning in various fields like hydroponics, animal science, and agricultural technology, with the goal of fostering curiosity and career readiness in agriculture-related STEM fields.
