The Oklahoma Tax Commission recently released city sales tax collection figures that primarily represents local tax receipts from July business. The monies they reported this period represent sales from July 16 to 30 and estimated sales from Aug. 1 to 15.
Statewide, the disbursement of $212,030,286 sales tax collections returned to the cities and towns reflected an increase of $8,770,707 from the $203,259,579 distributed to the cities and towns in September last year. The use tax disbursement to cities and town was $39,302,940 according to the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
In county returns, the counties shared in a $39,539,744 sales tax disbursement and a $8,001,238 use tax disbursement.
