A Florida couple was arrested on Sunday after a traffic stop for speeding led to the discovery of marijuana, THC edibles, LSD, and psilocybin mushrooms in their vehicle.
At approximately 6:54 p.m. on August 31, Officer Cheyenne Gilbert of the Atoka Police Department observed a blue Hyundai traveling 60 MPH in a 45 MPH zone on Liberty Road. The officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle.
According to the police report, upon approaching the car, Officer Gilbert detected the distinct odor of burnt marijuana. The driver, identified as Cheynne Byrd, and her passenger, Carlos Moncada, were asked to exit the vehicle. Byrd admitted that she had THC gummies in the center console, and her boyfriend had a jar of marijuana.
