Matthew Hall, who was convicted for his role as the getaway driver in the 2020 shooting that killed Tulsa Police Sergeant Craig Johnson and critically injured Officer Aurash Zarkeshan, was released from prison last Friday.
The Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC) confirmed that Hall was released on Friday, October 17, 2025, with his sentence considered complete.
Hall served as the getaway driver for David Ware, who shot both officers during a traffic stop on June 29, 2020. Hall later helped Ware dispose of the weapon. He was convicted in March 2021 on two counts of Accessory to a Felony and was initially sentenced to a total of 24 years in prison (12 years for each count, to run consecutively).
