Ketamine Exposure Sends Officer to ER

A disturbance call regarding a property dispute quickly escalated after one of the involved individuals allegedly exposed an Atoka Police Officer to a substance later identified as Ketamine, resulting in the officer requiring Narcan and emergency medical treatment.

The incident occurred on October 10th at approximately 2:03 PM near the intersection of US 69 and Vinita Allen. Atoka Police responded to reports of an argument, followed by multiple calls from passing motorists reporting two individuals fighting outside of a white SUV pulled off the roadway.

Upon arrival, officers found the driver and a female, identified as Erika Rivas, standing outside the vehicle. Officers learned the argument centered on Rivas being kicked out of the car and throwing property, including keys and a phone, into a nearby pasture.
