Atoka football (2-6) is set to travel to Antlers (3-5) on Friday, Oct. 31 in a game with big playoff implications. The Wampus Cats are coming into the game fresh off the team's second victory, a 41-12 win over Spiro on Oct. 23. The game was moved from Oct. 24 to a Thursday night game on Oct. 22 due to weather concerns.
With the win over Spiro, it puts Atoka in a situation where if they win the last two, the Wampus Cats will be in the playoffs. Currently, Atoka is in a three-way tie for fourth in Class 2A-II District 4 at 2-3 with Antlers and Henryetta. Henryetta will travel to Atoka on Nov. 7 in the Wampus Cats season finale.
