Hello Atoka! Here is to hoping that everyone got some and enjoyed the rain that fell the last couple of days. I do not believe everyone is truly aware of how dry it has become, and this should help all the living plants and will also bring a welcome change in the weather. Maybe fall will truly arrive with cooler temperatures and hopefully, more rain.

I woke up this Sunday morning not wanting to get out of bed but knowing that I had to get up and make my morning walk before Renee' woke and we got ready to go to church. I fed the horse, told Ranger that I was going for my walk, turned on my headlamp as it was still dark outside and this combined with the early morning fog made illumination necessary so that I would not get hit by early morning traffic or some passing deer.

I walked down the road and for the first time since I began, I thought that I did not want to do this, I just wanted to stay in bed and rest like some sane, normal person would do. I walked and it seemed like there was some ominous portent in the air which was strengthened by the utter stillness of the early morning predawn.
