Looking for an exercise that improves strength, balance, and helps reduce stress? The Atoka County Library is offering Tai Chi classes for ages 18 and up.
With Michael Maxwell of the Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative (OHAI), classes will be offered every week at 1:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting November 11th and will go through December 11th (No classes during Thanksgiving week). Participants are encouraged to call ahead and sign up.
Tai Chi is a form of exercise that combines gentle stretching and low-impact movements with deep breathing and relaxation. It can help improve balance, flexibility, and coordination, and reduce stress and anxiety.
