Tushka boys basketball is returning four starters and several other experienced players from a team that reached the regional tournament last year and was one game away from the area tournament. Kason Hall, a leading scorer from last season’s early games who was injured, is also returning.
The team has six seniors who have shown great leadership, being vocal, setting high expectations and leading by example. Also returning for the Tigers is 7-year head coach Chris Zike.
The schedule has changed slightly, with the team attending the Savanna Tournament instead of the Antlers Tournament and adding a couple of new teams. The schedule is described as “battle tested,” with a tough early season that eases up, and competitive tournaments designed to prepare them for playoffs.
