An 18-year-old Hugo man was killed Tuesday morning after being struck by a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) on US Highway 70, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).
The collision occurred on November 4, 2025, at approximately 11:10 AM, near the intersection of US-70 and N 4200 Road.
The OHP report states that a CMV, driven by Chester Gillum, 54, of Crittenden, Arkansas, was traveling eastbound on US-70. The victim, identified as pedestrian Jack R. Lane, 18, of Hugo, was standing on the south shoulder of the highway.
