Tushka Senior Callie Boren had a week that she will never forget. First, she was named an Oklahoma High School Fastpitch Coaches Association (OHSFSCA) Small School East All-State team on Nov. 4 as a utility corner infielder. Then to close the week, Boren signed to continue her academic and athletic career at Murray State College (MSC) in Tishomingo for softball on Nov. 7.

During Boren’s senior year at Tushka, she played catcher, third base and pitcher where she helped lead the team to a 22-11 record. On the season, she had a .447 batting average, .480 on base percentage and a .974 fielding percentage. Boren had 39 singles in the year and 22 runs batted in.

“Callie has been a huge contributor her entire career. She has always been a middle of the order bat and moved all over the infield playing a very im portant role for us defensively wherever it was we needed her that season,” Tushka Head Coach Logan Brown said.
