After falling short in the area consolation championship last season, the Stringtown Lady Tigers are entering the 2025-2026 campaign looking to accomplish something the team hasn’t done since 1976, make it to the state tournament. “State tournament is definitely the expectation we set out to every year,” Head Coach Jake Dudley said. “I’ve had a lot of good area tournament trips in my five years here, so I wouldn’t say it’s a bust if we don’t make it, but that’s always the goal.”
The Lady Tigers return four starters, including three seniors, from last year’s squad. The lone newcomer to the starting lineup will be sophomore Annie Thompson who served as the team’s sixth man a year ago. Seniors Josie Jones, Mylee Viss, Madelyn Viss and junior Khaylee Boston return as starters this season.
With so much experience returning, Dudley said the Lady Tigers aren’t looking to make major changes schematically. The growth started early for the players this offseason as players were back in the gym shortly after school let out for summer break in May.
