I think patriotism means showing love and respect for my country in different ways.
It’s not just saying you're proud to be American, it's about showing and proving it through actions. I can show patriotism by being kind to the country, protecting the country, and saluting the flag with pride. It doesn’t matter who I am or what I look like, I can still show patriotism.
There are many ways that I can be kind to our country. I can show respect when I salute the flag and honor veterans. I can serve in the military when I am old enough, so other people don't have to sacrifice all the things they love. I can respect the country’s laws so nothing bad happens to me or them.
