An inmate at the Mack Alford Correctional Center in Stringtown is facing felony escape charges after a brief attempt to flee the property on the morning of November 16, 2025.
Inmate Tristan Sandlin was apprehended approximately one hour after his escape attempt began, thanks to the swift response of corrections personnel.
The incident began at approximately 7:15 AM when Corporal Gould reported seeing Inmate Sandlin running across the highway west of the facility. Lieutenant Easley immediately initiated a search, locating Sandlin minutes later walking toward the water plant east of the compound.
