Discover the wonders of winter at Atoka County Library! Join us at 4:30 PM on Thursday, January 15th to explore all things winter with our January STEM class.
Attendees ages 8 – 12 will learn snowflake symmetry by cutting out paper snowflakes, make edible snowflake patterns using marshmallows and toothpicks, and do a “Build a Snowman Challenge” where attendees will see how tall they can build a snowman using paper, tape, and chenille stems. All materials provided by the library. Signing up is required.
“Introducing children to STEM activities helps promote curiosity and brings a fun prospective to science,” said Library Branch Manager Melissa Walker. “Our goal is to inspire our young library users to pursue STEM-related fields in the future.”
