Day One Poker Run a Resounding Success
What began as a community effort to help a local fire department in need turned into a resounding success on New Year's Day. The 'Day One Ride & Poker Run,' hosted by The Dam Store at McGee Creek, brought together riders and residents to raise more than $2,200 for the Farris Volunteer Fire Department.
The funds will go directly toward replacing essential rescue equipment, including chainsaws, leaf blowers, and 'jaws of life' parts, that were stolen from the department and never recovered.
