An 18-year-old wanted for a New Year’s Day shooting that left a juvenile in critical condition has been apprehended in Atoka County.
Kodi Nichols was taken into custody on Saturday afternoon, January 3, 2026, following a multi-agency search. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) confirmed that Nichols was located in Atoka and has since been transported and booked into the Bryan County Jail.
The investigation began at approximately 1:15 A.M. on January 1, when Bryan County deputies responded to a residence near Allison Road and Chestnut Lane in Calera. Upon arrival, they discovered a juvenile male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
