Coalgate Animal Rescue Efforts (C.A.R.E.) has officially released its 2025 impact numbers, revealing a year defined by tireless work, community sacrifice, and a staggering number of dogs moved into safety. In total, the organization saved 776 dogs over the past twelve months, including those networked into new placements.
The rescue’s reach extended far beyond Oklahoma’s borders. Through strategic partnerships, C.A.R.E. transported 351 dogs to Little Fenway Animal Rescue (LFAR) in New Hampshire and Connecticut, while another 174 were transferred to trusted out-of-state partners. Locally, 224 dogs were moved to Oklahoma rescue partners, and 27 found their forever homes through local adoptions.
Beyond rehoming, C.A.R.E. focused heavily on long-term solutions for overpopulation. The rescue facilitated the spaying and neutering of 278 dogs within the community. This work was made possible through key partnerships, including Dr. Kay Helms and the team at Winsor Animal Clinic, as well as Taylor Bryan and Paws in Ada, who hosted monthly clinics for the rescue.
