Hey, all you red necks that refuse to wear a tie…here is some info to help defend yourself. Despite being a symbol of smartness and professionalism, neckties may not be so good for your health. A study in 2018 found that wearing a necktie can reduce the blood flow to your brain by up to 7.5 percent which can make you feel dizzy nauseous and cause headaches. Ties can also increase the pressure in your eyes if on too tight increasing the risk of glaucoma. Ties are also great at carrying germs as most people seldom clean their ties. Of course, if you want to look smart and professional just don’t wear your tie too tight and clean it regularly.
And…all you ladies (or some guys)…recently, I read that our earlobes have no biological purpose… I’ve wondered about that. However, the family fashionista says, “Au contraire, everyone knows God put earlobes on people so they can wear beautiful earrings.” Duhhh! So, there you have it, right from the Lane Sphere of Learning.
Heads up! The latest scam going around involves Medicare. The caller says that there is something wrong with your Medicare, you have enrolled in the wrong part. Then they want your sensitive information in order to find your records. Logic would tell you that if they called you, they should have your records in their hand. Of course, when you give them your information they are all set for the scam. The truth is that Medicare never calls you. If there is something wrong you will receive a notification through the mail.
