Atoka County 911 will be launching a GIS REMEDIATION PROCECT to update 911 mapping in order to improve emergency services throughout the county and State of Oklahoma.
The purpose of this project is to enhance the accuracy of address data used by emergency responder, ensuring that local mapping data can be used to route 911 calls more pre- cisely and efficiently.
As part of this effort, a field vehicle will be conducting address verification throughout the county. The vehicle will be clearly marked with white signage displaying '911 MAPPIING' in red lettering and will operate during daylight hours only.
