County Sales Tax Income Up from Last Year

County sales tax income is up from last year according to the Oklahoma Tax Commission, which recently released city sales tax collection figures that primarily represent local tax receipts from February business. The monies reported this period represent sales from Jan. 16 to 31 and estimated sales from Feb. 1 to 15.

Statewide, the disbursement of $185,644,966 sales tax collections returned to the cities and towns reflected an increase of $4,483,514 from the $181,161,452 distributed to the cities and towns in March last year.

The use tax disbursement to cities and towns was $31,323,558. In county returns, the counties shared in a $33,067,165 sales tax disbursement and a $6,610,896 use tax disbursement.
