Motorcyclist with 12-Year Expired Tag Facing Paraphernalia Charges

A traffic stop for a stop sign violation on North Ohio Street led to a drug-related arrest Friday morning after a motorcyclist was found to be operating with a revoked license and expired tags.

On March 6, 2026, at approximately 10:10 A.M., Atoka Police Lieutenant Jimmy Taylor initiated a stop at the intersection of North Ohio and East C Street. The operator, identified as John Fortenberry, was observed running a stop sign on his motorcycle.

Upon further investigation, officers discovered the motorcycle's license plate had been expired since July 2014 and the vehicle lacked insurance.
