A late-night patrol on Sandy Creek Road resulted in the arrest of an Atoka woman on multiple drugrelated charges following a vehicle search on March 8, 2026.
At approximately 2:00 a.m., Officer Cheyenne Gilbert observed a silver Mitsubishi with a cracked windshield traveling east. After turning to follow the vehicle, Officer Gilbert noted the driver continued for two blocks with a turn signal activated without making a turn. Upon initiating a stop in a nearby driveway, a male passenger, briefly attempted to flee the vehicle before being ordered by police to remain at the scene.
During the investigation, officers reported a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. The driver, identified as Larisa Carpenter, was asked to exit the vehicle along with another passenger for a probable cause search.
