An Atoka police officer sustained facial injuries early Saturday morning, March 21, while taking a woman into custody on an outstanding warrant.
Master Patrolman Christian Shomo of the Atoka Police Department initially responded to a report of a possible attempted burglary on California Street involving 18-yearold Elektra Kenyon.
While officers were unable to locate the suspects during the initial call, dispatch confirmed Kenyon had an active arrest warrant out of Bryan County.
