Hey Atoka! The Atoka Citizens Group had its first meeting to talk about the planned parade scheduled for July 4th, 2026, to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our great republic.
I would like to let everyone know that if you have ever thought or dreamed about being an actual participant in a parade now is your chance. This parade will be an 'open entry” event in which there is no charge, no registration, and the chance for you to be a part of something which promises to be truly spectacular.
We had approximately fifteen people attend our meeting at the Veteran's Building this past Thursday night with the time spent with people there introducing themselves, floating different ideas, talking about proposed events, co-ordination, and what the overall intent was to be.
