Early voting for the upcoming April 7 elections is set to begin this week for voters throughout Atoka County. The County Election Board will be open for early balloting on Thursday, April 2, and Friday, April 3, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Atoka County Election Board Secretary Racheal Feuerhelm noted that early voting is a convenient option for anyone looking to avoid potential lines on Tuesday or for those who may be away from the county on Election Day.
'You do not need to provide an excuse to vote early,' Feuerhelm said. 'Oklahoma allows early voting for all elections conducted by the County Election Board—from school board and municipal elections to state and federal elections.'
