An inmate at the Atoka County Jail is facing a felony charge after an altercation with jail staff on Monday, March 23.
Deputy Ethan Fomby of the Atoka County Sheriff’s Office responded to the jail at approximately 12:03 p.m. following reports of an assault on a staff member.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the incident began when Jail Administrator Meagan White entered a supervision pod to address an inmate, 37-year-old Larissa Carpenter, who had been banging on a cell door.
