Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges for Passenger

A Sunday morning traffic stop on West 13th Street led to the arrest of an Atoka man after deputies discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in a vehicle.

Atoka County Sheriff’s Deputy J.D. Mixon, acting as a cross-commissioned officer with the Choctaw Nation Lighthorse Police, initiated the stop on March 22 at approximately 10:22 a.m.

The driver of a gold Chevrolet Suburban was reportedly observed swerving before making a sharp turn into a driveway west of Greathouse Drive.
